As a lot of you might already know (if you watch my Youtube channel) we were in the process of buying a new home. If you have bought a home you know how stressful that is. If you have bought and sold a home at the same time then you know exactly what we were going through it can be a mess, to say the least. With all the moving prep and fixing requested items (which I did myself), my training and diet went out the window. It is tough keeping up with your workouts and buying a home at the same time.
Let’s start with my training or workouts. First, off you know that you need to be frequent in the gym if you expect to progress. Well, my frequency went right out the window, I was too exhausted to make the drive on the weekend and I had to make time for the home repairs. I was not up to going to the gym at all. So I just did not go all the time. I missed days here and there.
As for my diet, it was the complete opposite of what it normally is or should be. We were basically eating trash every night. mainly due to us having to pack and fix things and clean we just did not have time to cook and have a well-balanced meal.
So why am I telling you all of this am I complaining? NO!! I have a great new house that I am going to show live on Youtube. Am I wanting anyone to feel bad for me? NO!! I took what life threw at me and made the best of it. So what am I trying to say?
Well, I am trying to sympathize. As a personal trainer, I know that it can be tough to get into the gym and it can be tough to eat right every single day. Here is what you have to remember if you are just starting out or if you are a veteran. You have one life and while you should try to be healthy and so you live longer. You should also live. The gym and your diet should not be this burden over your head that you feel like you have to do because then you will start to hate it. Get the little things in life out of the way get back on schedule and smash your goals.
I for one know at times it is tough. But if it were easy it would not be worth doing. So don’t sweat the little stuff, enjoy it get things done and get back to it!
